LINDEN TX Richard Eugene Martin, 72, of Bivins, died Monday, March 25, 2013 at his home. He was born August 4, 1940 in Dallas, Texas to James Earl and Dorothy Housewright Martin. He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Nancy, of Bivins; four sons, Richard Martin and wife, Shonda, of Linden, Tracy Martin and wife, Deborah, of Bivins, Glen Martin and Michael Martin both of Amarillo; three daughters, Melissa McNeely and husband, Ronnie, of Linden, Sue Dencklau of Canyon, and Pam Morris of Amarillo; two sisters, Carol Beard and husband, Junior, of Longview and Barbara Booth also of Longview; 13 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathy; two brothers, Johnny and Kenneth; and three sisters, Joyce, Earlene and Elaine. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 27, 2013 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with Bro. Ragland officiating. Interment will be in Kildare Cemetery in Kildare. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8pm at the funeral home.

Today our hearts have been broken for I say fairwell for now to my loving uncle Benny. He will be missed dearly but it a blessing that he is not in anymore pain. I know in my heart that he is rejoicing with his parents, brothers, sisters and most of all his darling baby girl Kathy in Heaven.
