Funeral services for Robert Bob Beekman, Sr., 67, of Lone Star, will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, March 11, 2013, at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, of Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 12:30 until 2:00 p.m., Monday afternoon at the funeral home. Mr. Beekman was born August 1, 1945 and passed away March 7, 2013. He served in the Marines and worked as a NDT Tech at Lone Star Steel. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; and three brothers. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Tingle Beekman; two daughters, Brittany Beekman, of Texarkana, Texas, and Melanie Beekman, of Ohio; three sons, Robert Beekman, Jr., of Ohio, Tracy Beekman, of Duncanville, Texas, and Bruce Beekman, of White Oak, Texas; four grandchildren; and three brothers, Kenneth Beekman, of Ore City, Texas, John Beekman and Bill Beekman, of Ohio. A special thank you is extended to nurse John Iley, with Faith Hospice.   2. First time I met BobThe first time I met Bob I was shopping with my first husband Clarence Mark Beekman in Sandusky, OH. Two of the cutest little kids were playing in the clothes racks and their Daddy was trying to catch them. When the man stood up Clarence Mark was very surprised to see his brother Bob and introduced us to each other. I know those brothers have found each other once again.
