Funeral services for Bobby Lee Smith, Sr., 67, of Hughes Springs, will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Cason, with Bro. Scott Darby officiating. Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday evening, at the funeral home. Mr. Smith was born January 17, 1946 in Daingerfield, Texas and passed away March 3, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and lera Smith; and one sister, Barbara Murphy. Survivors include two sons, Tony Smith, of Corsicana, Texas, and Bobby Lee Smith, Jr. and his partner Glenda Carr, of Hughes Springs; two daughters, Kristie Smith Jaco and her husband Michael, of Hughes Springs, and Tammy Smith, of Pittsburg; seven grandchildren, Austin, McKenzie and Emily Smith, Shelbi Carr, Bobby Lee Smith III, Kaitlyn Lindsey, and Malachi Bristow; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Lynn Smith, of Hughes Springs; one brother-in-law Tom Murphy; and his long time partner, Teresa McGee, of Hughes Springs. Memorials may be left to the American Cancer Society.

  1. Bobby, my friend, … I shall always remember the boy that let this silly girl play marbles every day in 6th-7th grade. Even when you cheated getting a "steelie", you were so much fun. May your wife and family be comforted by knowing what a good man you were.

  5. So sorry to hear about Bobby. Have been out of town and not on the computer but just wanted to say he was a good guy. He will be missed from the class of 1964.
