Graveside services for Eddy J. Joey Watkins, 72, of Naples will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Oakridge Cemetery, with Bro Dwaine Higgins officiating. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mr. Watkins was born September 28, 1940 and passed away March 3, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin J.T. and Hazel Marie Watkins; one sister, Loretta Williams; and two brothers, Melvin Ray and Noel Glen Watkins. Survivors include four brothers, James T. Watkins, of Hughes Springs, Jackie Lee Watkins and his wife Carolyn, of Omaha, Zacarith T. Watkins and his wife Christie, of Forney, Texas, and Shirrel Dean Watkins and his wife Donna, of Ophir, Utah; two sisters, Murlene Shaddix, of Marietta, and Barbara Higgins and her husband Dwaine, of Omaha; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be left to the Disabled American Veterans.
