Marion Berry

Mr. Marion Berry was born March 21, 1921 to the parentage of Claude Berry and Ellie Mae Berry. He passed away January 22, 2013 at his home. He was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Corrine Berry; his parents; one daughter Catherine Berry; three sisters, Josie Montgomery, Lula Spearman, and Arlene Davis; and one brother Artis Berry. He united with Warlock United Methodist Church at an early age. He worked as a carpenter. He leaves to cherish his memories, one sister, Carephaine Armstrong, of Avinger; nieces, Nadine Armstrong, of Avinger, Marilyn Armstrong, Wanda Armstrong, Brenda McCracken, all of Dallas, Ester McDonald, Gloria Ford, both of Marshall; and a host of other nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Mims Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, of Hughes Springs. Mr. Berry will lie in state Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
