LINDEN Mark Steven Burkhalter, 45, of Linden passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in an Atlanta hospital. He was born May 18, 1967 in Atlanta to L V And Glenda Gilley Burkhalter. He worked in the oil and gas industry. He had a open door relationship with the youth of Center Hill Baptist Church working with them in self development. Survivors include his wife, Dean Burkhalter of Linden; two daughters Tiffany Burkhalter of Atlanta and Courtney Burkhalter of Linden; a brother and sister-in-law, Curtis and Kelly Burkhalter of Hope, Arkansas; a sister and brother-in-law, Catherine and Joe Seymore of Denham Springs, Louisiana; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at 2:00PM Monday, December 31, 2012 at the chapel of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden with Rev. Jim Rust officiating. Interment will be in New Colony Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Never had a close relationship with Mark but he was the son of two people I adored and miss greatly and so I loved him for that. Great rejoicing in Heaven.
Sorry i miss funeral. Yall are in my prayers. If you need anything just let us know. I know this has to be hard on you. I would have called you but i dont have your number. May GOD be with you.
