Dyrika Dawn VanHuss Jones

July 5, 1970 ~ November 26, 2012
Kris and Amy genuinely care about what they do. They helped our family so very much with the passing of our mother. Quality people performing at such an elevated level.
Kris and Reeder-Davis were a huge help during a very difficult time. They were compassionate, patient and determined to make our funeral arrangements as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I would recommend them to anyone needing a caring and understanding presence.
Making my Mom’s arrangements was one of the hardest things to do. But, Kris, Amy and the rest of the staff were amazing through it all.
I could not have asked for a better group of people to help me during this very rough time.
They are exceptional !!!

A very well kept establishment as well as very kind people. They make you feel welcome, cared for, and like you have a family outside of family.
The staff here becomes family. They are incredibly supportive and make sure everything is perfect! There is no better place!
When my 52 year old younger sister passed away we couldn't have fathomed the grief her 15 year old would be going through. She wanted to be involved in her mom's service planning Reeder-Davis employees were very patient and listened to her every wish. For that I am most grateful. Thank you for the services you provide our small community...we are blessed to have you as part of our town.
The best in the area!

Very kind and compassionate people.
Years ago my parents made the decision that when their time came they wanted Reeder Davis to handle their burial services, So as hard as it is to lose your parents their time to go did come and when it did, We relied on Reeder Davis to help our family through the arrangements that needed to be made and all I can say is their commitment, compassion and their understanding made such a difficult process much easier. Our funeral director Amy, from our first meeting to our last was so kind, She shared in our laughter of funny memories and she shared in our tears seeing our grief. My sister suddenly passed away a month after my dad and again, Kris and Amy were there to help us and we were so grateful. Kris, Thank you for the care you gave to us and for being so kind and thoughtful. I will never forget everything that all of you did for my family .
Reeder handled my father in laws services and did it with so much compassion. We were at a loss with what to do first and Amy was amazing at guiding us. They treated us just like family and we will always be grateful for that.
For such as sad occasion we could not have asked for any better. The facilities were great, the staff very caring. Everyone did everything possible to make this the best experience possible. Even the slideshow had a personal touch that was initiated by the staff. I am so very grateful for the care and services we received.

Kind, caring folks that truly understand the grief you bear, and help you move forward in what is a difficult situation that we all have or will experience.
They took excellent care of both my mother and father. My wife and I have already prearranged our funerals with them. They are the best.

From the time they picked up my wife from the hospital and then through the entire process and even today, they have remained friendly, courteous, and most helpful with all our needs. Working with our insurance, planning the service, providing helpful suggestions, and taking care of tiny details we had not thought Reeder-Davis Funeral Home was wonderful, and Mary was so professional, one of the best. Their care made our loss a little easier to bear. Thank you so much, James Bynum & Family
I just want to thank the staff at Reeder Davis for handling my mothers’s final arrangements beautifully. Kris was extremely compassionate and helpful throughout this untimely and unexpected event. Everything was flawless and exactly how my mother would have wanted her final wishes carried out. Planning a funeral is never easy but it definitely helps when your loved one is in the care of caring and professional hands. Thank you 🙏 Shawna

These people are the greatest. They have always made me feel like family. Thank y'all for being so wonderful. God bless y'all
I have never had a bad experience at RD, from making programs for our church or giving advice in whatever way they can.
The McKinney, The McCain, & The Hill Families would like to sincerely thank the staff at Reeder Davis in Hughes Springs for the excellent services they provided to us in the death of our Mama, Dorothy McKinney. Mary went above & beyond in helping us to prepare our Mama for visitation. Amy helped us in each & every need that we had. You could not ask for a kinder man at the cemetery than Wayne. To each person that helped, we appreciate ALL that you did... Thank you, again!
It has the most comfortable feel about it. Everyone treats you like you are family and have so much compassion and empathy . I love Amy & Kris and all of the others also.
Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. in Linden and Chris were there for me and my family when Keith passed away. Chris is so caring and thoughtful and was able to help me make it through the entire process of caring for Keith and my family until the final burial. He made the journey of death so much easier by his respect for our needs and his compassion for our pain and sorrow. I have known his staff for a long time and they also helped lighten our sorrow by their outpouring of love and compassion. Reeder-Davis also took care of my precious mom when she passed away three years after Keith. I still hug Chris and thank him whenever I can for helping me through losing loved ones.

Praying for peace and comfort though this difficult time.
I remember meeting Dyrika (probably 15 years ago) when I was a teenager working at Save Mart in Hughes Springs, she was always so outgoing, smiling, & sweet…I got the pleasure of reconnecting with her when she moved to Atlanta a couple years ago when she would accompany patients to the clinic that I worked at! She always asked how I was doing, we'd briefly catch up, laugh and visit! The last time I saw her, I ran into her in a store in Linden, she was her usual happy, talkative self!! She was a genuine lady that always cared about how other people were doing and even if times were tough for her, she smiled and was friendly as could be. I will miss bumping into her. The world needs more people like her!My heart is aching for her family and friends! I will continue to pray for peace and comfort.
Debbie,I am so sorry for your loss. Look to God for strength during these difficult days, and the days and months ahead. Because of His grace, I can make it through each day after the loss of my sister-in-law and brother. I will be lifting you up in prayer.
So very sorry for your loss. Prayers are lifted for the family.
We are very sad that this happen to Dyrika and we well miss her alot. God be with you all.
I never had the chance to meet you but you seemed to be an amazing woman. You will be missed dearly
I'm sorry for your loss Justin. You are in my prayers. I love you.
Dyrika was a beautiful woman inside and out, she will be greatly missed. I could not have asked for a better co-worker and friend. She express a heart of gold to each person she came in contact with, always giving. She expressed a grace that I will forever remember. She was a force that brighten a persons life.
Dyrika will be missed by many. Our prayers are with each of you.
I love you and miss you so much. You were always like a mom to me. In my dictionary, the definition of Dyrika is Love and family. You will always be my mom. Love you…
I remember the laughs as young children and her loving smile. We always had a good time when we were together. I prayed that my mom would give her the biggest hug for me when she seen her in heaven. Cous, we will always love and miss you. You will never be forget.
I remember Dyrika when she was in high school, and I was working at HSHS. She had such a sweet smile. Our prayers are with her family.
Dyrika Dawn is/was special to me. I was blessed to watched her grow up. She was full of life with a beautiful smile and a mouth full of chatter…she was the same even if it had been awhile since seeing her. You knew she loved you…and I loved her. Bless her family Jesus and give them peace and comfort. amen
We called her motormouth, but enjoyed every word out of her mouth. She was a very bright light, and it has been with a very heavy heart that I have learned of her passing. I do believe though, that we will be able to look up into the stars and see her shining above us. A light as bright as Dyrika's can never truly go away.
I'm going to miss Dyrika like crazy we had lost touch over the years but I know she hadn't changed by all of the kind words that people have written. She was one of my sweetest best-est friends in high school there was never a dull or silent moment in our times together. She could always find something for us to talk or laugh about. The DQ parking lot was our hang out spot. Many laughs and tears were left there. Over the years we would run into one another and just laugh and pick right back up where we left off like old times. She and I had so much fun together were you saw one you saw the other. We were more like sisters than friends. I love her to pieces. I'm going to miss my friend. Sending prayers for love, peace and comfort to her family.
Justin, I'm so sorry about your mom. She was a really nice woman and I'm very happy that I had the chance to meet her. I hope you're holding up well, and I'll be keeping you in my prayers. I love and miss you and I hope to see you soon. All respects to you and your family.
Our heart goes out to each of you….
Our thoughts and prayers go out to each of you. May you all comfort one another and find comfort knowing others care.
My thoughts and Prayers go to the Family. Dyrika was a very sweet person.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I am sorry for your loss. I pray the Lord comfort your hearts at this time.
