Emmitt Sampson

Funeral services for Emmitt Carrel Sampson, 69, of Daingerfield, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2012 at South Union Baptist Church, in Jenkins. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc., of Hughes Springs. The family will receive visitors Thursday, September 27, from 6:00 until 8:00 at the funeral home. Emmitt was born April 17, 1943 and passed away September 25, 2012 at a Longview hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one grandson. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Sampson; one son Randy Sampson and wife Kathy, of Hughes Springs; three daughters, Anita Gibson and husband Nash, of Hallsville, Carrel Carroll and husband David, of Daingerfield, and Erica Wilkerson and husband Richard, of Hughes Springs; nine grandchildren and one cookin; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Billy Mac Sampson, Boyd Sampson, and Bobby Sampson; and five sisters, Lois Wyatt, Brinda Wiseman, Peggy Sumners, Margaret Wise, Sandra Fuller.
