Margie Nell Walton

Funeral services for Margie Nell Walton, 86, of Hughes Springs, will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Love Chapel Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Love Chapel Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mrs. Walton will lie in state all day Friday, September 14, 2012 at the funeral home. Margie Nell Walton was born in Cass County, Texas on August 12, 1926. She is preceded in death by her parents Jerome and Polly Royal; and two children Michael Ann and Robbie Lee. Margie was a loving mother and a wonderful homemaker. Margie accepted Jesus Christ at an early age. She was a member of Love Chapel Baptist Church in good standing at the time of her death. Her formal education was completed in the Dallas Public School District. Margie met Luther Walton in Dallas, Texas where they fell in love. They decided to marry and raise a family. They were wed on December 18, 1949. To this union three children were born. Michael Ann, Luther Jr., and Robbie Lee. On September 6, 2012 Margie was called from this earthly life to her glorious heavenly reward. Margie leaves to cherish her memories, her loving and caring husband of 62 years, Luther Walton (Hughes Springs, TX); one son Luther Walton Jr., of Dallas, TX; one stepson Charles Walton (Stella), of Duncanville, TX; one sister Ola Ree Farris, of Dallas, TX; 4 grandchildren, Damien, Trenia, Nkai, and Phyllis; one great granddaughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
