W O "Dub" Allen

Funeral services for William Oscar Dub Allen, 84, will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 25, 2012 at Hughes Springs Church of Christ., with Gary Stewart and Norman Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Avinger Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the funeral home. Mr. Allen was born December 19, 1927 and passed away June 21, 2012. W. O. Dub Allen was a member of the U.S. Navy and a WWII Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter. Survivors include three sons, Norman, John D. and Jerry D. Allen; five daughters, Jackqueline C. Alford Shepperd, Rebecca A. Alford Hendon, Bonnie L. Alford Hampton, Patti S. Alford Martin, and Pamela K. Alford McCain; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
