Funeral services for Dessie Strange Brown, 85, of Hughes Springs will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, June 13 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Bro. Butch Shipp officiating. Burial will follow at Veal Switch Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Dessie Strange Brown was born October 1, 1925 in Titus County and passed away June 8, 2011 in Pensacola, FL. She had worked at a Hat Manufacturing Company. She is survived by a son Gary Dewayne Crawley of Pensacola, FL; two brothers Clyde Strange of Daingerfield and James Strange of Ft. Worth; one sister Ida Wallace of Hughes Springs; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Ms. Brown was preceded in death by a daughter Wanda Joyce Junkersfeld. Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Sunday evening.
