Randy Jones LINDEN James Randolph "Randy" Jones, Sr., 60, of Linden, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2008, in a Texarkana hospital. Services will be at 2:30 P.M., Sunday, November 30, 2008 at Center Hill Baptist Church with Bro. Earl Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Center Hill Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis-Schindler Funeral Home in Linden. Visitation will be from 6 to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the funeral home. Mr. Jones was born April 22, 1948 in Decatur, Alabama. He was a security guard for Red River Army Depot and a member of Center Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Jo Ann Jones of Linden; two sons, James R. Jones, Jr. and wife Teresa of Decatur, Alabama, and David Michael Jones of Sandy Hook, Kentucky; his parents, James Marvin and Cathryn Hilda Jones of Decatur, Alabama; two step-sons, Joseph Raymond Tolbert of Atlanta, Texas, and John Dolan Avant of Mobile, Alabama; two step-daughters, Shanna Marie Boone of Mobile, Alabama, and Joan Denise Chavez of Wichita, Kansas; two brothers, Byron Jones and Dwight Jones both of Decatur, Alabama; a sister Elizabeth Jones of Decatur, Alabama; and two grandchildren, Jamie and Levi Jones; and numerous other relatives and friends.

I was saddened to learn of Randy's death. He was a great guy from a great family…and about as fun loving a guy as you'll ever meet. I saw him a couple of years ago and it struck me that he seemed the same as always. He will be missed.
Randy was a dear friend, GOD SPEED my friend.
Randy, I will never forget you. I still remember that last day of school when you moved to Fla.when we were in the 6th grade at Cotaco.You broke my heart that day.You had been my sweetheart since the second grade.Rest in peace my friend.
