Charles Ennis “John” Brown was born August 5, 1942 to the parentage of Willie K. Brown and Eula Mae Douglas who preceded him in death. John had one loving sister, Willie Jane Brown “Master Brown” who preceded him in death also.

John married the love of his life, Delois “Lois” Jimmerson on August 7, 1965, they were married for 51 beautiful years. They had five   amazing children; John Glenn Brown of Lancaster, James Jimmerson (Marcella) of Lone Star, Tammy Sharp (Calvin) of Cason, Niki Brown (Latoya) of Cason, one son, Charles Lurie Brown who passed away at nine days old. John leaves to cherish his memory, his wife; children; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; God son, Marvin Traylor; God daughters, Cindy McKoy and Tiffany Tyson; one aunt, Dorothy Smith of Cason; great aunt, Luela Hollis of Naples; and a beloved host of relatives, friends, and the entire Cason Community.

John gave his life to Christ in October of 2010 and was a faithful member of Rock Island Non-Denominational Church until his health failed.  John passed away peacefully on July 4, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his family. John was a life long resident of Cason. He was involved in his community and started a softball team in Cason with the young men and later started a women’s team, The Cason Wild Cats. John was also involved with the children in his community and always had some activates planned because he believed that if a child had something to do that they wouldn’t have time to get into trouble. Some of his favorite past times included farming, ranching, motorcycle clubs and trail rides. He established the JW Cason Trail Riding Club. He was employed at Red River Army Depot, where he retired after 30 years of service.
