Bennie C. Everett

August 8, 1923 ~ October 22, 2017
Bennie C. Everett was born August 8, 1923 to the parentage of Dud and Beulah Franklin. Bennie grew up and attended school at Mt. Moriah Public School. Bennie continued her education at Carver High School in Naples, Texas. She joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at an early age. Later on she met and married Charles Everett in April of 1942 and to this union three children were born. She later became the First lady of Hughes Chapel Church for 37 years, and she was faithful to his calling. After the demise of her husband, Charles, she moved her membership back to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, where she became mother of the church. She taught Sunday school and she was a faithful member until her health failed her.
Bennie was preceded in death by her husband; three children; mother and father; six brothers; and eight sisters.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a very special friend, Vivian Royal; as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
Mother Everett, we loved you more than you will know….and maybe you knew how much we loved you. We did our best to show you. We will miss you but I know you’re not in pain. Until we meet again, we will hold your wisdom and love in our hearts, the Lockett Family
My prayers for the family.
I am so sorry for your lost, and Mother Everett will be greatly miss. She was such a rare jewel.
