Mary Delores Surratt

Mary Delores Surratt, loving mother and grandmother went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 20, 1932 in Ferris, TX to Bailey Lawson and Edna Ellen Gilmore Lawson.
She was a dedicated employee of Thiokol Corporation for 42 years. After retirement she dedicated her time and life to her family. She loved to make memories with her family and spending time with her beloved dog Dixie who was right by her side even to the end. She loved to read, watch westerns, and was a dedicated Rangers fan
She is survived by her daughters, D’Ann Surratt of Linden, TX., Gail Butler and adoring son-in-law, Kelly Butler of Linden, TX.; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Tom Gardner; her grandchildren, Clint Eaves and wife Kelly, Adam Luce and wife Lisa, Brittany and Whitney Surratt; nine great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rebon Surratt; parents, Bailey and Edna Lawson, and one brother, Charles Lawson.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden with Father David Puckett officiating. Burial to follow in the Center Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Surratt was a loyal and long-time employee of the Longhorn Division of Thiokol. She will be greatly missed by her many Thiokol and Army friends. May she rest in very deserved peace.
