Vera Emmalene Patterson, 86, of Linden passed away February 17, 2018.  Ms. Patterson was born June 19, 1931 in Dike, Texas to Ezra and Beulah Rushing.

Survivors include one son, Dale Patterson and wife Tanya; two sisters, Edna Ruth Webster, Naomi Gaile Smith; one brother, Roger Dale James; four grandchildren, Travis Murphy, Deantha Gibbons, Nora Robinson, Kristina Baggerly and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Barbara Murphy, Jacque Lynn Midkiff; three sisters and two brothers.

Services will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Daniel Cemetery in Wickes, Arkansas and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

There will be a time of visitation from 2:00 p.m. until service time in the Chapel at Daniel Cemetery.

    Years ago my parents made the decision that when their time came they wanted Reeder Davis to handle their burial services, So as hard as it is to lose your parents their time to go did come and when it did, We relied on Reeder Davis to help our family through the arrangements that needed to be made and all I can say is their commitment, compassion and their understanding made such a difficult process much easier. Our funeral director Amy, from our first meeting to our last was so kind, She shared in our laughter of funny memories and she shared in our tears seeing our grief. My sister suddenly passed away a month after my dad and again, Kris and Amy were there to help us and we were so grateful. Chris is so caring and thoughtful and was able to help me make it through the entire process of caring for Keith and my family until the final burial. He made the journey of death so much easier by his respect for our needs and his compassion for our pain and sorrow. I have known his staff for a long time and they also helped lighten our sorrow by their outpouring of love and compassion.
