       Winston Sullivan, 77, of Linden, Texas passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Sullivan was born May 28, 1941, in Morton, Texas to Ferd and Goldie Sullivan.
       Winston was builder, designer, and developer. He was a talented cabinet maker and artist. Winston was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church where he served faithfully in many different capacities, but most of all he was a tenacious prayer warrior. His favorite pastime
was being a grandfather and great-grandfather. Finally, he loved the Linden Kildare Tigers.
       He leaves behind his high school sweetheart Judy, whom he was married to for fifty-eight years; son Marlon Sullivan and special friend, Donna of Linden; daughter Jina Hamm and son-in-law Ronnie of Kildare; two grandchildren, Amanda Tucker and husband Justin of Linden, TX., Seth
Sullivan and his wife Anglique of Austin, TX, and Olivia Martinez of Linden, TX.; three great-grandchildren, Logan Hankins, Reagan Hankins, and David Winston Sullivan; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Sandra Templeman of Lovington, NM, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
       He is preceded in death by his parents, Ferd and Goldie Sullivan; three brothers, Leonard, John and Pete Sullivan; two sisters, Julia Sullivan and infant sister, Gwendolyn Sullivan.
       Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2018, at the Linden United Methodist Church with Pastor Michael Bedevian and Bro. Bryan Baggett officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service in the fellowship hall. There will be a private family burial under the direction
of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
       In lieu of flowers and plants please make memorials to the Linden United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 338, Linden, TX. 75563.

  1. Brother Winston was a great man with great passion for our community. He will be missed so much. I myself will miss our conversations around town and through emails. RIP Brother Winston.

  2. He will be greatly missed by many! I appreciated and loved his dedication to his great grandsons team and support of my own son, Croy, at every game! He was a great man who’s seat will never be able to be filled at any of the sporting events! Our hearts and prayers are with all of his large loving family and his many friends!! Mr. Sullivan, your memory will stay with everyone who met you forever!!!!

  4. The image of a builder is dominant when I think of Winston. He knew how to plan, finance, and lay a solid foundation for a building . By the time he finished, every detail down to the last nail was accounted for and in its proper place. In his relationship with his family, friends and even strangers, you could trust his steady hand. As a builder, Winston will live on through his projects but more important, the individuals who were fortunate to know him.

  5. Mr. Winston was one of a kind. He always had a listening ear and loved to talk about his sweetheart, Mrs. Judy. A man that truly sought after God’s own heart. He will be missed by our community, friends and family but Heaven is sweeter with him there. Thoughts and prayers to each of you – Mrs. Judy, Marlon and Jina and family.

  6. Dottie and I will miss this great person and long time friend. He has been a blessing to us in many ways. We will be praying for Judy, Jina and Marlon in their time of loss. We know Winston is with his maker and is no longer in any pain. I feel he would want each of us to continue on with life and try to help others we meet in our daily life. He was the most astute businessman that I have ever known and he conducted himself with honesty and integrity. Winston’s faith in our Lord was unshakable!   33. Judy, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your wonderful, sweet, funny husband, Winston. I will always remember the wonderful time Lewis and I had when we came to your home in Texas. What a welcome you two gave us and the amazing meal of jambalaya you cooked for us. Winston always thought it was fun that I would wear my overalls to the convention – the overall designer. Ha.   34. I just saw this information today and it brought back a lot of memories. Even though we did not stay in touch the way we should have, i treasure the memories. I hope your health is good and you are enjoying your grand children. Bob and Winston are now together again and don’t you know they are having a lot of good laughs. Bob passed away in September 2005.
