Terry Lynn Martin, 60, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2018, at Longview Regional Medical Center.  Terry was born August 27, 1957 in Laramie, WY to Leonard and Ramah Jean (Moses) Martin.

The second of three children, Terry always had a mischievous twinkle in his eye. Terry loved to bowl, ride his motorcycle and watch his beloved St. Louis Cardinals play. The ultimate prankster and hilarious jokester, he love to laugh and it was contagious. One of his favorite feelings in the world was the wind in his face as he rode his bike.

Terry was blessed with two daughters, Lora and Cynthia, of which he was very proud. Terry met the love of his life, Linda, after he moved to Hughes Springs, Texas. They began dating in 1989 and married on June 24, 1997. Terry was then blessed with two step-children, Allen and Barbara.

His heart matched his laugh and personality. From hunting Easter eggs every year and playing Santa, to country swing dancing and playing with his dogs, Terry’s zest for life was undeniable.

A truck driver by trade, Terry, together with Linda, began TCL Trucking in 1991. Due to his health, they eventually sold the business; however, he always missed his big rig.

Terry was preceded in death by his mother, Ramah Jean; sister, Brenda; brother, Randy; and granddaughter Macy Rheann.

One of his proudest roles in life was that of grandpa to their four grandchildren; Carter (21), Gabriel (18), Kacie (17), and Meghan (17).

Terry is also survived by his wife Linda, daughters, Lora and Cynthia; step-son, Allen; step-daughter, Barbara; father, Leonard; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Terry will be intensely missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial visitation honoring Terry’s life will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  His final resting place will be in Piedmont, Missouri.
