Services for Mr. Jimmy Shaffer, 73, of Ore City, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2018 at Reeder-Davis Chapel under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
Mr. Shaffer was born January 9, 1945 and passed away October 6, 2018. He retired from U.S. Steel after 31 years. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Brenda June Shaffer; parents, Joe and Betty Shaffer; father-in-law, Wylie Elvin Whisenhunt; grandson, Keith McKinley; loving poodle, Baby.
He is survived by his children, Tammy Shaffer Cassio and husband Antonio, Jimmy Shaffer, Jr. and wife Lisa, Timmy Shaffer and wife Malisa, Michelle Kennedy and husband Dennis, Amber Heim and husband Steven; brothers, Bobby Shaffer and wife Sherry, Michael Shaffer and wife Sheila, and David Shaffer and wife Debbie; sisters, Linda Duphin, and Nancy Pendarvis and husband Richard; mother-in-law, Betty Whisenhunt; brother-in-law, Michael Whisenhunt; sisters-in-law, Janice Belcher, and Kelly Ramon and wife Allison; son-in-law, David Higginbotham; special friend, Carl Underwood; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
