Frances Leo Hall was born on December 22, 1915, in Hughes Springs, Texas, to Homer Henry Irvin and Carrie Gladys Wilson. She passed away at the age of 103 on January 27, 2019 surrounded by her grandchildren. She was born and lived her entire life in the Hughes Springs area. In 1930, she married W.O. Hall and later raised 3 sons. She was a longtime member of Cornett United Methodist Church.
Frances Leo Hall lived a life full of hard work and family. She could see the beauty of a field of cotton and clothes hanging out to dry. She was not a collector of things, but rather she treasured her family and friends. Grandma always remembered birthdays, anniversaries, and important events. She spoke of everyone in the area and talked about what families lived where and named their children. She was a wonderful cook and could make the most delicious meals with simple ingredients and no recipes. Grandchildren were especially important to her and she happily stepped up to care for them during family troubles or illnesses. Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by husband, W.O. “Tootie” Hall, sons; Jerry Lynn Hall, Douglas Lyndon Hall, and Clifton Harold Hall, brothers; Homer and Vernon Irvin and sister Johnnie Mae. She is survived by her grandchildren, Douglas Hall, Jr., Angela Foster and husband Ron Foster, Jason Hall and wife Tammy Hall, and Farrah Clayton; Great Grandchildren, Harrison Foster, Lindsey Foster, Gaby Clayton, Amelia Foster, Katlyn Hall, Christopher Hall, and Carly Frances Foster, and numerous nephews and nieces whom she loved.

To all the family and friends of Grandma Hall we send our deepest condolences. We know she is now one of the sweetest angels in Heaven. On earth she was always such a kind caring person more concerned about everyone, and as we experience some 43 years ago, she took pleasure in making sure everyone was comfortable in her home as well as being feed with some good healthy country food. My mother, who passed Dec 3,2017, enjoyed getting to talk with Grandma Hall as they shared the same Granddaughter. Life passes by us way too fast. We are grateful to have known this beautiful lady. It is interesting to know her name included Leo. We have a 6 month Grandson Leo who as they say can be strong, powerful and fierce with their roar. Rest in peace sweet angel
