Our History in Texas
Reeder-Davis Funeral Home traces its roots to Hughes Springs, Texas more than a century ago. As a teenager in the 19th century, Jimmie Reeder came to work at Keasler’s Merchandise Store. With no funeral home in town, families called on the local store for caskets and funeral goods, and the Reeder family funeral service grew from there. After Jim Reeder’s death in 1967, his son-in-law Charles Davis incorporated and renamed the business Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Today the firm is owned by the third generation of the Reeder family. Call 903-639-2585.
