Delois Patton

Services for Ms. Delois Patton, 73, of Ore City, will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Murry League Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. Ms. Patton will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Delois was born April 13, 1946 to Odessa Moon in Ore City, Texas and went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2019.

Delois was educated in Upshur County Public Schools.  She was a member of Cedar Grove Methodist Church and also a member of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker, taking care of her family, children and grandchildren until her death.  She lived a full life of happiness and joy and found pleasure in taking care of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Eddie Don Perry.

She married Bellam Patton and to this union four children were born: Rachael Patton, Kenneth Patton, Victor Patton and Mark Patton.  Remaining to cherish her sweet memories her daughters, Lisa Chandler, Rachael Patton of Ore City, Texas; sons, Kenneth Patton (Valerie) of Tyler, Texas, Victor Patton (Ebony) of Longview, Texas, Mark Patton (Candice) of Longview, Texas; grandchildren, Mykos Chandler, Jason Square, Porsha Anderson, Natavion Patton, Ojerion Patton,  Yazmine Patton, Kingston Patton, Kyrie Patton; five great grandchildren; special aunt, Ms. Mozzel Moon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

They all were the love of her life, but she had a special bond with Javon Chapman.
