Gayle Hall Patrick

TSgt Gayle Hall Patrick, USAF, Ret. was born in Laird Hill, Texas to Manly Patrick and Esther Hall Patrick on August 29, 1934, and passed away June 11, 2019 in Kilgore, Texas.
Gayle attended Kilgore High School where he played basketball and was awarded all-district honors in football. After graduation in 1953, Gayle joined the United States Air Force. He enjoyed serving in Virginia, Nebraska, Texas, Nevada, Germany and Indonesia. While in Germany, he met and married Lucia, his wife for 51 years. He retired at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas and was a successful franchisee with 7-Eleven Company. Gayle retired in 2005 and moved back to his hometown of Kilgore in 2010.
Gayle Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Don and sisters, Patty Jean Allum and Bobbie Sue Walden.
He is survived by his dear friend Dolores Matthew Tucker of Kilgore; sons, Richard and Larry Patrick of Las Vegas, and many friends and former classmates. Gayle’s father was buried in Linden, Texas in 1941 where Gayle will be laid to rest at his side.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Linden Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.
There will be a time of visitation from 10:00 until 10:30 a.m., Friday at the funeral home.

Gayle's return to Kilgore was a blessing to so many of his friends from days gone by. His smile would light up the room. I'm thankful for his friendship spanning many years. He will be missed but fondly remembered. Prayers and blessings to Dolores.

Mr Patrick was in my Sunday school class, the Masters . To me he was a true friend and a genuine hero of our time. It was indeed a privilege to be a friend of his
