Edwin returned to live in Hughes Springs in 1994 where he lived until his passing.

RIP BIG LYNN!! GREAT MEMORIES I WILL ALWAYS HAVE IF YOU!!!
Great memories with Lynn back in the day.. Will miss him..such a good friend.RIP
I'm really going to miss you buddy.
Lynn Royal was such a great friend of mine in junior high and high school. He was so funny, and teased me constantly. And what a talented young man he was! When our basketball team won State in 1971, it still remains the best time of my life. Although we had other very, very talented boys on that team, if it weren’t for Lynn, I don’t think that State Championship would have gone to our team. I will never forget the pride I felt for Lynn and my friends that day. I will miss you, Lynn Royal.
Had several long talks with Lynn lately on the phone. Thanks for being a friend to Casey. He thought the world of you. He said he hopes he did all he could when you needed him. You will be missed, but know you are now no longer in pain. RIP Lynn….you are out of that chair now….
Prayers of.Comfort to the family

Lynn was a hometown hero to many of us! We were all so proud when our high school team won State, and then Lynn went on to play for TCU. Lynn was a fun classmate and a good friend. I will always choose to remember the good memories! My condolences and prayers of peace to the family.
My deepest condolences to the Royal Family. I met Lynn years ago when I was visiting my sister and brother-in-law, Lee J. and Joann Royal. He was only two years older than me. He was the nicest person that you could meet. Rest in Heaven Lynn Royal.
Will never forget you, Willie and the team. You were always a champ and Cass County’s All American. 🙏 continue for the family and many friends.
