Funeral services for Christopher Allen Jaynes, 36, of Ore City, will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.  Burial will follow at Coffeeville Cemetery.  There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ore City.

Christopher Allen Jaynes was born January 28, 1983 in Lone Star, Texas and passed away August 6, 2019. Chris had a heart of gold.  He was a great son, grandson, brother, husband, father and friend.  He would do anything for his family and friends.  He loved his kids very much and was a great father.  He loved watching his nephews play sports, especially baseball and he was so excited that Lil Chris got to play t-ball this year and just starting to play football.  He loved to hang out with his friends and play washers, which he was very good at!  He enjoyed fishing, watching WWE & UFC and just living life to its fullest. The world will never be the same without him. 

         He was preceded in death by his father, Mark Allen Jaynes; grandparents, Carroll Wayne Humphrey,  O’Neal and Maxine Jaynes; and uncle, Tommie Brill.

He is survived by his children, Christopher Ryan Jaynes, Bentley Allen Ryan, and Braxton Scott Jaynes; fiancée, Marsha Ryan; parents, Vickie Penne and husband Steve; siblings, Jessica Ruth Thomas and husband J.D., and Kimberly Michelle Garmany and husband Kyle; nephews, Aydin Thomas, Taydrien Thomas, Layton Thomas, Gaitlin Garmany; grandmother, Patsy Humphrey;  aunts, Robbye Humphrey and husband Les, Kathy Faulkner and  husband Jeff, Jane Wilson and husband Windell; uncle, Jerald Jaynes and wife Janie; great aunt, T.J. Brill; cousins, Michael Humphrey, Courtney   Humphrey, and Ashley Bishop; and many more cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.

  11. So sorry to hear of Chris' passing. I remember him as a cute, fun-loving kindergartner. I remember he and my son, Jeffrey, playing baseball together a few years. For him to be gone so soon is a real tradegy. I lost my parents when I was young (Dad-4, Mom-27). Life goes on and it can be great. Just give yourself time to heal; respect the grieving process; and remember God helps us through the tough times!!
