Nash Hines was born February 9, 1923 in Avinger, Texas to the late Bob D. Hines and Parthena Banks Hines and passed away November 22, 2019.
He met and married the love of his life, Maxine Frazier, on November 13, 1962. Being reared in a christian home, he united with Warlock United Methodist Church in Mims, Texas. Nash was educated in Marion County and the Warlock community. He graduated from Central High School in Jefferson, Texas. He went on to join the United States Air Force and received an honorable discharge. He came home to help his parents and attended Bishop College in Marshall, Texas before going to work For Lone Star Steel.
Nash was preceded in death by his parents, Bob D. Hines and Parthena Banks Hines; his wife, Maxine Hines; one sister, Bunies Spearman; three brothers, Joe Hines, Bob Hines, and Mack Hines, Sr.
Those left to cherish his memories are: one daughter, Angela Sue Hines of Longview; one granddaughter, Crystal Danielle Hines of Katy, Texas; special friends, Jimmie Mitchell and Blanch Perry; special niece, Deretha Hines; special nephew, Gary Banks; special great-niece, Khloe "Hugging Baby" Hines; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Ore City. Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Mims Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Hines will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Friday at Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
