Sharon "Little Momma" Annette Edmond Dillard was born to the parentage of Betty Edmond and John "Whitebelly" Washington on June 27, 1959 in Abilene, Texas. She later moved to Cason and was raised by her uncle and aunt, James and Rachel Edmond. She attended school at Lone Star Elementary, Daingerfield Junior High and graduated for Daingerfield High School in 1977. 

She became a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age. She was an active member of Sunday school, usher board, gospel chorus, and senior choir. She later joined Hughes Springs Community Church, where she was an active member, serving in the hospitality ministry and choir. 

On November 30, 2002 she married Billy Joe Dillard, the love of her life."Little Momma" worked for Windsor Place Nursing Home and Pilgrims Pride for many years. 

She is preceded in death by her children, Shonette Edmond and James Edmond; parents, Betty Jenkins and John "Whitebelly" Washington; adopted parents, James and Rachel Edmond; brothers, Paul Lawrence Edmond, Jerome Edmond, and Melvin Edmond.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Billy Joe Dillard; brothers, Billy Wayne Jenkins, James Earl Edmond; sisters, Addie Woods, Linda Linwood, and Mary Ann Seda; sister-in-law, Margie Edmond; uncle, Richard Smith; aunts, Variene Smith, Annie Lafayette, Clara Smith, and Ethel Smith; five nieces, Christie Taylor, Teresa Peel, Melody Edmond, Tina Jackson, and Rochelle Williams; nephews, Stan Edmond and Terrance Linwood; best friend, Tracey Doss; and a host of cousins and friends. 

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Hughes Springs Community Church, 750 N. Taylor St., in Hughes Springs.  Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Cason under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Mrs. Dillard will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

  5. My deepest condolences to the Edmond Family 🙏🏾 My dad, Rev L.E. Lawson, pastored Shady Grove BC for five years. We also lived in same area in Cason where Lil’ Momma, Bro james & Sis Rachel Lee Edmond, and Ms Lottie Smith and Mr Mack.
