Ardraola Jeffery

Services for Ardraola  Jeffery, 93, of Avinger 12:00 noon Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Victory Drive Church of God in Christ. Burial will follow at Mims Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Jeffery will lie in state from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mother Ardraola Marie Jeffery, daughter of Mr. Edd Jeffery and Mrs. Gertrude Crawford   Jeffery, was born August 7, 1926 in Jefferson, Marion County, Texas.

She attended and graduated in 1945 from Central High School in Jefferson, Texas. At an early age she united with Arkadelphia Baptist Church. She, later, united with Adams Chapel C.O.G.I.C. and worshipped under the leadership of Elder M. B. Malone, Elder Edgan White, Elder J.D. Livingston, and current pastor, Elder Terry D. Gilliam. She departed this life at her home on February 22, 2020.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the late, Edd Jeffery and Gertrude Crawford Jeffery; grandfather, Papa Charlie Crawford; three sisters, Ruthie Jeffery Gilliam, Ezelle Jeffery Addine, and Lois Jeffery; two brothers, Clarence Jeffery and Richard Jeffery.

She leaves to cherish her memory, nephew who she considered a son, Tony Jeffery; six   nephews, Donald Gilliam of Avinger, TX, Lonnie Gilliam and Jerry Gilliam of Arlington, TX, Elder Terry Gilliam of Marshall, TX, Charlie Gilliam of Houston, TX, Ronnie (Leslie) Gilliam of Tyler, TX; three nieces, Earnestine Albro and Brenda Gilliam of Houston, TX, and Francell Gilliam of Marshall, TX; nine great-nephews; four great-nieces; 20 great great-nieces and nephews;      special cousin, Oprah James Mills and a number of other cousins.
