Louise C. Lummus, 92, of Linden passed away April 8, 2020 in a local nursing home.  Ms. Lummus was born November 11, 1927 in Almira, Texas to W.N. Carwile and Ada Hicks Carwile.

She is survived by her children, Diann Bolt and husband Kenneth of Atlanta, TX, Deborah Vasatka of  Chesapeake Beach, MD, Jimmy Lummus of Linden, TX; one sister, JoAnn Keith of Jefferson, TX; grandchildren, Jeff Bolt and wife Berni, Kevin Bolt, Christopher Jensen, Matthew Jensen and wife Joy, Adam Jensen and wife Mandi;  numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, W.N. and Ada Carwile; husband, Travis Lummus and one sister, Pansy Parpart.

Private graveside services for Ms. Louise Lummus  will be held Monday, April 13, 2020 at Corinth Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

  7. Our family always enjoyed our trips to Texas, visiting Aunt Louise and Uncle Travis. Even though it has been many years since seeing Aunt Louise, her laughter and fun personality is remembered with fondness. Our family sends out deepest sympathy to Deborah, Diane, and Jimmy.

  8. I recall many summer trips to Texas filled with family picnics and Sundays at church.
    Pecan pies and breakfasts that completely fill your plate.
    Mama Louise was all about the family.
