Services for Betty Sullivan will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday June 6, 2020 at Avinger Cemetery Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
Betty Thoombs Sullivan was born May 12, 1930 to Joe and Altha Thoombs. She passed away June 2, 2020 after a lengthy illness. Betty was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Avinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Sullivan; brother, Billy Joe Thoombs; sister, Jackie Doan; and granddaughter, Shannon VanDevender.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandy Clark; step daughters, Cindy Worthington and husband Ray, Vickie Reese and husband Don; grandchildren, Kaycie Clark Kerry, Amanda Clark; step-grandchildren, Eric Worthington, Dale Worthington, Shelly Tannehill, Dewey Reese, Eric Reese, and Jeremy Reese; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Dear Sullivan family,
At this painful and difficult time please accept my condolence and deep regrets for your loss and I'd like to share where I found help at such a time as this when I lost my entire family to this enemy death. I found comfort and hope in what I read in Jehovah Gods word the Bible at John5:28,29 for there we're told we'll see our love ones again when Jesus brings them back here on earth at the resurrection. We're also told at ICorinthians15:54 that this enemy death will be gone forever. With these scriptures and jw.org I'm able to cope with my loss and get through each day because now I know I'll see my love ones again and so can you.
I wanted to share this with you now when hope and comfort is needed hoping that this will help you also for this is my purpose in sharing this with you at this time and please know that I do share your grief and hope you'll feel free to let me know if this helped in some way.
