Services for Conelia Hillis, 47, of Naples will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Spring Hill Cemetery in Naples, Texas under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Hillis will lie in state from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Conelia Hillis was born to Ronnie Hawkins and Gail Hillis on April 26, 1973 in Naples and passed away June 4, 2020 in Naples. She attended Paul Pewitt Schools and graduated in 1991. She worked various jobs until she decided to be a stay-at-home mom. She was a member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church .
Conelia was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents Josephus and Rosie Hillis; two aunts, Charlotte Whitfield of Seattle, WA and Doris -- of Omaha, TX.
She leaves to cherish her memories: two daughters, Josephus and Evelyn Brown; and her significant other, Harold Brown all of Naples; one brother, Tywan Hillis of Seattle, WA; two nieces and nephews of Seattle, WA; a host of aunts, uncles; and a lot of loving friends.
I remember Cornelia as a laughing teenager that always tried her best in class. I enjoyed teaching her at Pewitt High School.
Nae is my older cousin who I have fond memories of interactions with in different stages throughout my life. You will be missed cousin but accepted in our father’s arms.
I taught Cornelia in Kindergarten at Pewitt….she was so proud of her girls….I taught Renee and Desiree too….just know that I am here if you need me…..God's Peace be with you….love you Mrs.Andi
I know conliea since 3rd grade and we be came bestfriend and she is every nice person to be around and I will always remember fun time we had together and I love you girl and RIP my friend
