Ms. Elnora Bell, 96, of Douglassville, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on September 2, 2020.  Ms. Bell was born April 29, 1924 in Douglassville, Texas to Mr. Coy Hatley and Ms. Jessie B. Dickerson Hatley.  Ms. Bell attended Gum Springs School and was a member of Gum Springs CME Church.  She united in holy matrimony on January 4, 1943 to her loving husband William B. Bell for 70 years and to their union they had 15 children.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William B. Bell; three daughters, Amelia Parker, Velma Haire Fields, Gwendolyn James, and two sons, Jessie Bell and Billy Bell.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Mable Wilson, Willie Bell (Ruthie), Betty Bell, Lydia McGary, Ricky Bell, Ruthie Gaston, Sharon Foster, LaShonna Vaden, Tamela Dowden (Johnny), Shane Bell; one sister, Gladys Walker (Vernon); one brother, L.C. Hall (Ruth); 53 grandchildren; 122 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Panhandlers Cemetery in Douglassville, Texas and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.

Ms. Bell will lie in state from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m., Friday evening at the funeral home for family and friends to view and sign the registry.

Pallbearers will be grandsons & great-grandsons.  Flower bearers will be granddaughters & great-granddaughters.
