Debra Ann "Debbie" Higginbotham, 63, of Hughes Springs, Texas passed away November 19, 2020.  Mrs. Higginbotham was born March 7, 1957 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Louis "Hootie" Elrod and Peggy Ann Wells Elrod.  Debbie owned and operated R & D Wholesale for 23 years and it was her passion.  She recently opened up The Plant Place and was looking forward to watching the business grow.

She is survived by her loving husband Robbie Higginbotham; children, Louis Walker, Angie Westmoreland and husband Jeff, Dewayne Higginbotham and wife Renee, Robin Pollan and husband Michael; her mother, Peggy Ann O'Neal and husband Orval; grandchildren, Rowdy Bond, Brooklyne Nolan, Swayde Walker, Carson Walker, Tyce Pollan, Kenzie Pollan, Audrey Higginbotham, Barrett Higginbotham; great-grandchildren, Sailor Bond, Tripp Nolan; brother, Roger Elrod and wife Donna; sister, Rebecca Mixon and Frankie, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and a host of friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Louis "Hootie" Elrod and step-mother, Weida Elrod.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 23, 2020 in the chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home with Ricky Vestal officiating.  Burial to follow in the Sardis Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Sunday evening at the funeral home.

  5. I still cannot believe Debbie is gone. She was one of the strongest and most hard work working women I have ever known. She played as hard as she worked, had a smile for everyone and a heart as good as gold. She will be sorely missed by lots of friends and customers…and her family, that she loved more than life itself, will be lost without her. My heartfelt sympathy and love for all of you left behind.
