Tony Mitchel Long, 64, of Ore City, TX went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 30, 2022, after a fatal motorcycle accident.
 
Tony was born on October 15, 1957 in Paris, TX. He has been a member of God’s Store House Church for 32 years. He was an ATS truck driver for 21 years, winning multiple service and safety awards, founding member of Shady Shores Fire Department, and an EMS. He enjoyed riding his Harley, reading, watching westerns, and telling stories. HE LOVED HIS FAMILY! 
 
Tony is preceded in death by his father, Charlie Long; mother, Lois Christine Duncan; brother, Charlie (Tinker) Long; wife, Betty Mae Long; wife, Peggy Long; and grandson, Joseph Luhan Jr.
 
He leaves behind five children: Jessica Murrell of Diana, TX, Anthony Long of Ore City, TX, Casey Long of Hallsville, TX, Christy DeYoung of Ore City, TX, Bobbie Wright of Orange, TX; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. 
 
Services for Tony will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2022 at God's Store House Church. Burial to follow at Ore City Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City. There will be a time of visitation 5:00 until 7:00 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

  5. Oh my goodness, we had some of the best times together. I only have smiles when I think of you Tony. I can never forget hanging out with you and all of us, laughing, cutting up, going to the lake. Doing our best to stay out of trouble, not always succeeding. You will always be in my heart. I look forward to seeing you on the other side. Have a great homecoming celebration in heaven and give John big hello for me. I love ya man!
