Marilyn Young

marilyn young
Marilyn Alene Lewis Young was born January 9, 1945 in Paducah, Texas to R.B. and Johnnie Lewis. She went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2022. Marilyn accepted Jesus as her savior on her 12th birthday.

Marilyn loved the simple pleasures of life: baking Christmas cookies with grandkids, spending time with family, reading a good book, singing in church, arguing points of view (a.k.a. being saucy), and caring for "her dog" Coop.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Jon Yeager; grandson, Michael Joseph Yeager; and her brother, Roger Lewis.

She leaves behind two sisters, Nancy Bowers and husband, Dwight, and Kim Bagwell; three sons, Michael Yeager, Stephen Yeager, and Craig Yeager; eight grandchildren, Hannah Fitch, Aaron Yeager, Sarah Peck, Lauren Yeager, Haley Yeager, Sangeeta Bishop, Emma Yeager, and Vinisha Yeager; and three great-grandkids, Luke Fitch, Jonah Fitch, and Logan Bishop; and one newly sad, once happy dog named Cooper.

Services will be 5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Reeder-Davis Chapel in Hughes Springs with Gary Stewart officiating.

  1. To the Yeager Family,
We are saddened for your loss. Out thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
    Dwight and Linda Hollenbach

  2. I’m so sorry to hear about Marilyn. She was a dear friend and classmate. We spent many days together after church. Her family seemed like my own in those days. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen her but I thought of her often. Prayers for your family.
