On Saturday, October 15, 2022, Barbara Ann Allen Jimmerson of Hughes Springs, Texas passed away tragically. She was 65 years of age.
Barbara was born August 29, 1957, to the parentage of Corine Willis and Luther Banks.
She was a longtime member of the Hughes Springs community and was well known by many. She worked for Reeder-Davis Funeral Home and the local post office. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandbabies and riding her trike.
She joined Rock Island Nondenominational Church in her later years and loved telling us about the Sunday services
Barbara never met a stranger. She had a smile that lit up the room and loved to laugh or make you laugh. She was also a very beautiful woman. She kept herself put together, her hair, nails and clothing were always on point.
She was a dedicated member of East Texas Performance Riders and enjoyed going to their fields meets. Riding her trike and being a part of the club brought her great joy.
Barbara is preceded in death by her late husband, James Calvin “J.C.” Jimmerson; brothers, Larry Banks, Glenn Banks, Gerald Banks and Nathaniel Banks; and sisters, Dorthy Banks and Francis Woods
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Raylon Allen of Hughes Springs, TX, Corrina Reliford (Thomas) of Hughes Springs, TX, Jazzlyn Allen of DeQuincy, LA and Conika Jimmerson (Nicholas) of Mount Pleasant, TX; brothers, Charles Willis of Hughes Springs, TX, Billy Wayne Willis (Lucina) of Fort Worth, TX and Tommy Lee Banks of Fort Worth, TX; and sister, Doris Dennis of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Graniqua Ivory of Dallas, TX, Shamori Ivory (Caitlyn) of Naples, TX, Amya Henderson of Pittsburg, TX, Ty’Zavion Moss, Taylor Reliford and Thomas Tyrell Reliford, all of Hughes Springs, TX and her great-grandchild, Tatum Ivory of Naples, TX. Her memories will also be cherished by her special cousins, Roger and Bob Banks and special sisters, Marilyn Bruce (Jerry) and Sonja Banks.
Her passing has come with great sadness but the support we have received has provided a great relief. We especially want to thank our extended families, The Jimmerson Family, The Banks Family, The Thomas Family, The Williams Family, The Allen Family, East Texas Performance Riders, and Wild Bunch Motorcycle Club.
