Services for Alex Leon Frazier, 78, of Hughes Springs will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Reeder-Davis Chapel with Bro. Gary Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 Saturday evening at the funeral home. Alex Leon Pepaw Frazier was born May 14, 1936 in Gary, Texas and passed away January 22, 2015 at a Longview hospital. He was a Leasing Manager for Lesco Trucking, and also a Louisiana State Trooper. He owned Tri City bus company and was an Owner/Operator for American Eagle Logistics. Mr. Frazier was a veteran of the US Army, and as a teenager, he sang with the Happy Goodman Family. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Bea Frazier of Hughes Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Dr. David Price of Lufkin; step-sons, Ronny Allen of Longview and Kevin Allen and wife Cynthia of Hughes Springs; step-daughter, Sherry Russell and husband Rodney of Hughes Springs; eleven grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pepaw, Ryan, Rustin, Shawna, Garrett, Autumn, Madlynn, Malynda, Dustin, Riley, Zack, and Nick; two great-grandchildren, Ashlynn and Gatlin; and one brother, Bill Shadowens of Detroit.

We will miss his sweet smile. We were also impressed to learn he sang for the Goodman Family. That just makes him extra special since theY were my parents favorite!
