Arthur M. Turner

Services for Mr. Arthur M. Turner will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 8, 2020 at  Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial will follow at Reynolds Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.  Mr. Turner will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. 

Arthur Morris Turner was born December 21, 1954 in Titus County, Texas to the parentage of Arthur and Loulla Turner. He passed away January 28, 2020 in Longview, Texas. Arthur joined Mt. Moriah Baptist Church at an early age. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1974 and worked for a number of years at Pilgrim Pride and on a farm for Mrs. Nibbley.  Authur married Clara Johnson Turner. They divorced and he later married Dority Turner. 

He is survived by Clara Turner of Tatum; three children, Michell Turner of Marshall, Angela Turner of Longview, and Cris Turner of Tatum; three grandchildren, Willie Cartwright, Jr., Keyundra Cartwright,  and Marquavin Cartwright; two great-grandchildren, Kylee A. Cartwright and Zinobia A. Cartwright; sisters, Betty Turner, Shirley Turner, both of Mt. Pleasant and Edith Osadolar of Longview; brothers, L.W. Turner of Mt. Pleasant and Willie Turner of Dallas; uncle, James Grant; good friend Virginia Dolittle; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
