Services for Ashlee Michelle Edmiston, 21, of Uncertain, Texas, formerly of Hughes Springs, will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 10, 2015 at Hughes Springs High School Auditorium with Bro. Larry Trevino officiating. Burial will follow at Veal Switch Cemetery in Hughes Springs under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home of Hughes Springs. Ashlee was born August 12, 1993 in Mt. Pleasant and passed away Friday, August 7, 2015. She is a 2011 graduate of Hughes Springs High School, graduated in May, 2015 from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA and was a member of the Phi Mu Sorority. She is survived by her father, Mike Edmiston of Hughes Springs; her mother and step father, Sheila and Chris Gray of Diana; two brothers, Cody Edmiston and Brady Edmiston both of Hughes Springs; a sister, Haylee Edmiston of Hughes Springs;step brothers, Cody and Tanner Gray of Diana; grandmothers, Donna Edmiston of Shreveport, LA and Jean Shirley of Lone Star; a grandfather, Larry Edmiston of Hughes Springs; aunts and uncles, Renee and Dane Yarbrough, Dale and Cindy Shirley, Jimmy Shirley and Billie and Heath Edmiston; and the love of her life, Brent Giddens. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Paul Shirley and aunt, Pam Vaughn. Ashlee will lie in state from 10:00 until 8:00 Sunday evening and visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.at the funeral home.

  5. We only met Ashlee one night helping to "break" into her car after the keys were left inside. Our several hours outside under the stars meeting Ashlee and sharing a fun experience trying to retrieve her keys were priceless. She and Brent shared so much and we loved meeting them. Our prayers go out to Martha and Terry, our friends and all those who loved Ashlee.

  6. All through junior high and high school my house was filled with beautiful faces.. Ashlee's was one of these. She was like family, and we loved her with all of our hearts. Our family will always cherish the wonderful memories we have. Life here on earth is just a moment…eternity with Jesus is everything.

She was a beautiful talented and you did a great job. That's a Blessing in itself.Shelia I will always remember you coming to our house in Lone Star about the time the ice cream truck was due. If Bill was home, you would come to our house and get up in his lap and asked for money for ice cream and it always worked.The Shirley children and Zachry children would asend like locusts waiting there turn. Mike, Bill remembers you from work and thinks a lot of you. If you need to talk, his shoulder is always her to listen. God loves you and holds all of those who love her in his arms.

  25. Sheila, Chris and familyI am so sorry for your loss. I was not close to Ashlee like so many who were there to honor her. I can still see her throwing those dumb bean bags. I know she did not take off from her busy schedule to play that game. She came to spend time with you, Chris and your families.
