Bernard Huston Turner, 87, of Linden passed away May 16, 2017.  Mr. Turner was born July 29, 1929 in Morrison, Missouri to Huston Turner and Rosetta Mae Smith Turner.  Bernard worked for Lanier Chevrolet, Moore & Harmon Ford and Jim Surratt Motor Company where he worked for 43 years.

He is survived by his daughter, Judy Turner of Linden, TX.; three sisters, Barbara Turner of Linn, MO., Pat Yochum and husband Charles of Gilmer, TX., Libby Owens of Longview, TX.; one brother, Jimmy Zinnamon and wife Lois of Ft. Smith, AR., and numerous other family and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife of 52 years, Betty Lee Turner; one sister, Emma Mae Bergman and one brother, Bob Zinnamon.

Services will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 19, 2017 in the Chapel of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden.  Burial will follow in the Linden Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral home in Linden.

There will be a time of visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening at the funeral home.

  6. My Uncle Bernard is why I started being a mechanic, as a young child going to see him at the shop with the smell of parts cleaner and brake fluid just seemed like home. You will be missed.
