Beth Roach

Annie Elizabeth “Beth” Hitchcock Roach, 79 of Hughes Springs, passed away on June 10, 2019 at Christus St. Michaels Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. She was the wife to Buddy Roach, they shared 43 blessed years together. Beth was born on September 22, 1939 in Linden. She was the daughter of Erma and Wright Hitchcock.

Beth was a high school graduate of the class of 1958 Linden Tigers. She loved and treasured her family and friends, she loved to travel and learn about new places. Beth made the best banana pudding and apple pies around. She was a member of Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, James, Alvie, and Harold Hitchcock; and step daughter, Brenda Roach.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Roach; two biological children, Wayne and wife, Terry Myers of Fultondale, AL, Sherry and husband, Mark Lacey of Gardendale, AL; step-daughter, Teresa Holt of Hughes Springs; step-son, Brad and and wife, Becky Roach of Hughes Springs; three brothers, Kenneth, Royce, and Wade Hitchcock of Linden; one sister, Jo and husband, David Lawings of Naples; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services for Beth Roach will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Neeley and Bro. Ricky Vestal officiating. Burial will follow at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. There will be a time of visitation from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
