Betty Jordan
February 20, 1936 ~ November 7, 2019
Betty Lou Sneed-Jordan, daughter of Era Grace Bradley and James Cleveland Sneed, was born February 20, 1936 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Betty Lou met her husband of 63 years, Charles W. Jordan, at the little school house in Hughes Springs in 1941, where Charles says he was star struck from the moment he saw her on the front steps. He married her several years later.
Betty Lou is survived by her soul mate and husband, Charles; two children, Wes and Lisa; two grandchildren, Jonah and Savannah; daughter-in-law, Linda Jordan; son-in-law Sterling Standage; and her “little” beloved brother, Ronnie Sneed and sister-in-law Becky.
Betty Lou was a selfless woman who always put others ahead of herself. She will always be our beacon of light.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Hughes Springs Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.
