LINDEN TXBilly Drew Baker, 74, of Linden passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home in Linden. He was born May 27, 1939 in Lanier, Texas, to Stanford and Cora Lee Whitfield Baker. He worked for H.V. Caver Construction Co., and was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church of Jefferson. Survivors include one son, Drew D. Baker and wife, Susan, of Lake O the Pines; two daughters, Kimberly J. Thornton of Marshall and Tobi R. Barron of Harleton; a sister, Toni Cox and husband, Arthur, of Tyler; grandchildren , Justin McMillon, Wendy Satterfield, Marcus Hicks, Sydney Barron, Bradley Barron, Jesse Baker, and Jacob Baker; great grandchildren, Kaden and Mason Satterfield and Cole and Cass McMillon; special friends, Mike and Amanda Berry of Linden; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Shiloh Methodist Church, Jefferson, with Bro. James Knight officiating. Interment will follow in Shiloh Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shiloh Methodist Church, Jefferson, Texas.
I am so sorry to hear about Baker! My Daughter, Amanda Berry, thought the world of him. Please know that the family will be in my prayers.
