Funeral services for Billy Tanner, 83, of Ore City, will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 19, 2013 at Ore City United Methodist Church, with Rev. Doug Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Ore City Cemetery, under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, in Ore City. There will be a time of visitation from 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Tanner was born July 12, 1930 and passed away September 16, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean Tanner; one daughter, Joy Diane Clark and husband Mark; three sons, Larry Cecil Tanner and wife Julie, Paul Archie Tanner and wife Tammy, and Kelly Dean Tanner and wife Sharon; ten grandchildren, Eric Tanner, Daniel Clark, Matthew Clark, Aron Tanner, Michael Tanner, Justin Tanner, Nicholas Tanner, Jacob Tanner, Amanda Tanner, and Heather Tanner; five great grandchildren, Ryan Tanner, Clay Tanner, Willow Tanner, Jazmine Clark, and Daniel Clark, Jr. Memorial contributions may be made to Ore City United Methodist Church.
