Hughes SpringsServices for Bob Franklin, 98, of Daingerfield will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Daingerfield with Minister Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Whitmore Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Franklin died Monday, August 21, 2006 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born November 10, 1907 in Morris County. He retired from Lone Star Steel. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dud Franklin and Ella Stewart Franklin and his wife, Jettie Mae Finley Franklin. Bob Franklin is survived by six sons, Dud Franklin of Dallas and Oscar Franklin of Plano; Thomas Franklin of Omaha, Lawrence Franklin of North Carolina, James Franklin of Dallas, and Billy Franklin of Omaha; three daughters, Mamie Rodgers of Omaha, Bobbie Jean Pearson of McKinney, and Mary Frazier of Omaha; 24 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
