Bobbie Ruth Kirkland, 82, of Texarkana passed away, Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Mrs. Kirkland was born August 15, 1932 in Linden, TX to Elmer Washington and Maggie Mae Shelton Washington. Bobbie loved to cook, go fishing, watch old movies and loved going to garage sales. She is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws, Peggy and Earl Wilson of Texarkana, TX, Kara and Jim Chancellor of Texarkana, Ar.; one son and daughter-in-law, John and Carrie Kirkland of Naples, TX.; one sister, Shirley Mitchell of Kildare, TX.; one brother, Orville Washington of Linden, TX.; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eldred Kirkland; one sister, Marie Brown and one brother, James Washington. Services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the Kildare Cemetery. Burial to follow under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Linden. The family will receive friends from 7:00-8:30 P.M., Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the Kildare Cemetery Association.

Kara & John,I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother. I have many fond memories of Mrs. Bobbie from when I worked at Cass County Printing. She was a regular visitor on her coffee breaks. May God wrap his arms around you all and give you comfort. Your family will be in my prayers.
