Services for Bobbie McGill, 76, of Mt. Pleasant will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Piney Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Bobbie Mae Hamilton McGill was born to L.T. and Ola Mae (Collins) Hamilton on January 12, 1938 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. She attended school at Booker T. Washington in Mt. Pleasant. She met and married Harvey Evans, who preceded her in death. Later she married Frank McGill, who also preceded her in death. Shortly after they were married Frank enlisted in the Army to serve his country. Afterward Bobbie became a true Army wife and enjoyed it very much. She loved living in different cities and living in Germany for many years. She would often send her family different postcards and souvenirs from all over. After her husband retired from the military, they both got a job working for a Washington State correctional facility until and she worked there until she retired. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank McGill; her mother and father; step-mom, Fannie Lee Hamilton; three brothers, Bennie, Bill and Digie Hamilton. She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters, Joanne Fields and Sherry (Richard) Brewer of Mt. Pleasant and Trina Hamilton of Flint Michigan; two brothers, Ricky (Sherrie) Hamilton of McCheyne Park, IN and Donnie (Joyce) Hamilton of Richmond, VA; a special friend, Juan Diaz of Mt. Pleasant; six brothers-in-law; six sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
