Bruce was born on August 27, 1948, in El Paso, Texas, to Bruce Ivy Dedman, Jr. and Kathrine Alivia Boone Dedman. He passed away peacefully at his home in Avinger on May 9, 2025.

A proud graduate of the Class of 1966, Bruce went on to attend Kilgore College and Stephen F. Austin University. He built a strong work ethic over the years, beginning his career at Lone Star Steel, later working with TNN Railroad, and retiring from A&A Coating.

Known for his infectious spirit and zest for life, Bruce was truly the life of the party. He found joy in simple pleasures—scrapping metal, fishing, hosting BBQ cookouts, and enjoying life on the lake. Bruce was also a huge NASCAR fan.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Ivy Dedman, Jr. and Kathrine Alivia Boone Dedman. He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Eileen Camp; his children: Brian Camp (Susan), Shane Camp (Kimberly), James Dedman (Jennifer), and Melissa Dedman Mayer; grandchildren: Brandi Surratt (Cody), Kaitlin Oney (Cevin), Caitlyn Camp (Rowdy), Ashley Casey (Chris), and Trace Camp (Makaylah); great-grandchildren: Hagen and Harrison Surratt, Cyle and Case Oney, and Olivia and Levi Casey. He is also survived by his sisters: Janet Smith (Dennis), Rebecca Lovell (Michael), and Betty Ro (Phillip); and by his beloved mother-in-law, Dotti; sister-in-law, Jan Farr (Randy).

Bruce’s larger-than-life personality, love for family, and laughter will be missed by all who knew him. Peace out!
