Bruce Knight

Bruce Knight, 74, of Gilmer, Texas, passed away on February 11, 2026. He was born December 7, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, to Leonard Knight, Sr. and Shirley Roe Knight.

Bruce began working in pest control at the young age of 15 and continued in the field for nearly 60 years. He proudly owned and operated his own pest control company. He was known for his friendly personality, quick sense of humor, and love of joking and laughing with those around him. Above all, Bruce loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting rocks and gemstones, a hobby that brought him much satisfaction over the years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Knight; two daughters, Christi Cunningham and husband Chris, and Sarah Knight; his grandchildren, Taylor Cunningham, Dillon Cunningham, and Branden Cunningham and wife Jayden Morton; and brothers, Mike Knight, Doug Knight, Leonard Knight, Jr., and Scott Knight.

No public services are planned at this time. The family will celebrate his life privately.  Arrangements entrusted to Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.
