Burlen Lafayette

Private graveside services for Burlen Lafayette, 81, of Lone Star will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Mt. Pilgrim Cemetery and under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Ore City.

Burlen Lafayette was born to the late Qunicy Lafayette and Jessie Mae Smith Lafayette on January 13, 1939. At an early age he joined church. He worked for T and N Warehouse until he retired. 

On January 23, 1965 he united in holy matrimony to Lois Rene Fisher Lafayette and to this union two children were born. 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Lafayette; his brother, Cecil Lafayette; and sister, Joyce Faye Smith Lafayette.

He lives to cherish his precious memories, his children, Carla Machell Lafayette Lewis, Terry Lynn Lafayette (Debra), Shawnda Mims (Edwin); sisters, Alice Faye Armstrong and Stephanie Grant; his grandchildren, Kelvin Lewis II "Vaughn", Myterria Lewis "Kandi", Shaquincea Hawkins "Charde", Tyterrius Lafayette "Ty", Edwin Mims, "Jr.", Denver Mims, Caded Mims; great-grandchildren, DaeVaughndric Lewis "Dee", Lanyecia Lewis "Nycio", Izayah Green "Zay", Zadyen Lewis "Baby Boy". Imare' Lewis "Kai", Kellani Lewis "Nani"; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, dear friends, and loved ones.
